Mission Statement:
I believe that people of all ages and talent levels can and should enjoy tennis! I believe that tennis should be a healthy and fun experience each time that you’re on the court. I also believe that a solid coach should help you increase your confidence level through continual and challenging development of the sport.
About Me:
My name is Mike Nagyhazy, and I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 1976. When my family moved to Southern California, my Dad put a tennis racquet in my hand and started coaching me when I was 5 years old. He played in the Junior Davis Cup for Hungary in the 1950’s, so tennis was definitely a passion within the family. After playing numerous USTA, Jr. Tournaments throughout Southern California, I played Varsity High School Tennis (singles and doubles) in Palm Desert, California. I continued to play in local tournaments and on local leagues, and recently made the decision to transition from part time coaching to full time coaching. I am a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certified Professional Coach and I truly enjoy being out on the court. I love meeting new people, and being a part of improving their game, lesson-after-lesson.
Lessons:
Whether you have a child who you would like to introduce to the sport of tennis, or whether you’re a competitive player who just needs a brush-up on a couple of strokes, I welcome the challenge!
